ABOUT US

Greetings Members, Partners, Supporters, and Community Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  It is a privilege and an honor to serve as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter’s 44th president. Chartered in 1934, the chapter was the first Greek letter organization chartered in Memphis, TN, and the 55th graduate chapter established in the United States.  Our historic chapter has proudly served the Memphis community through philanthropic deeds and hands on service for 88 years.

In 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® founders’ vision was to serve all mankind. And, at 114 years this year Beta Epsilon Omega continues the legacy of our founders.

Yearly we award over $55,000 in academic and community service scholarships to high school students in Memphis and surrounding areas. We donate financial resources to non-profits such as homeless shelters and provide for emergency/temporary housing, utility assistance.  The chapter presents educational forums on economics, women’s healthcare and wellness and educate school children about the Arts! Moreover, we reach across the borders to serve underserved countries.

Our Sisters in Service Foundation is the financial source used to deliver financial resources and services to all mankind in Memphis communities. We proudly boast that all members of Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter are members of the foundation.

Please know you are welcome to join Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter if you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. The chapter meets at 11:00 a.m. every first Saturday of each month, except for the summer break during July and August. Please click the Contact Us link for additional information.
